I had a fantastic taster session outdoors in September, followed by a three week introduction course, with first class 1-1 training to the world of archery! There is no end to J & Y's patience as trainers! I am now a full member, with a new hobby, new friends who are happy to share their knowledge and it is great to shoot all year round.

I have been welcomed into the sport of archery by these two amazing trainers, J & Y. Both very knowledgeable and patient during my training and even taking time out of their days and weekends to ensure I had the right equipment and also setting it up for me. Couldn't have made the journey any easier and all the while making it enjoyable. I started archery with the aim of getting into a new hobby but I’ve got so much more out of it than expected! Both J and Y have been nothing but supportive with the training that they have provided, and with their continued guidance post training; their patience and knowledge really is second to none! I’m now growing in confidence week on week, with my skills and technique improving. Archery at Penarth Archery Club is easily my favourite part of my week!

Having spent over 30 years in archery, it was a great opportunity to get involved with a new and exciting club when my close friends, J & Y, decided to set up Penarth Archery Club.
We are a club with friendly enthusiastic members, with the emphasis on the pure enjoyment of archery and improvement of our skill.
Our training programme is thorough and 1-1, undertaken by J & Y, who have a vast knowledge of the sport.
Add to that our venue which is second to none and we have a club which is a joy to be part of.

I had always wanted to try archery. I came across PAC and emailed them for further information.
Did a taster session and was immediately hooked! J & Y were wonderful and very patient. I signed up for the 3 week introductory course and enjoyed every session! Everyone was so friendly and always made me feel welcome at the club.
J was so helpful when it came to purchasing my very first bow and kit. I couldn't be happier! So happy I finally found a lovely club.

With my family history of archery,
including my grandmother and father winning gold medals, it was inevitable I’d pick up a bow. Being involved at the start of Penarth Archery Club has been a brilliant way to stay active and meet lovely new people. I highly recommend the sport to anyone wanting to try it; our club has excellent facilities and a wealth of expertise from experienced trainers and members to give you the best start on your journey!

I was inspired to get into archery having been to many castles and fayres over the years and drawn to any archery 'have a go' stand. I started archery 2 years ago and enjoyed the training immensely. I noticed archers shooting compound bows and was fascinated! That was the eureka moment for me, and I have been hooked on compound archery ever since. I moved to Penarth Archery Club a year ago because of their excellent facilities and knowledge of compound archery. The support, training and friendly members have been incredible. If you are looking for a friendly archery club, come and see us!
