Our Facilities
Our club is based at St Cyres School, Sully Road, Penarth, CF64 2XP.
So we are within easy reach of Penarth, Sully, Barry, Dinas Powys, Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan.
We are able to shoot all year round. Our indoor shooting takes place in the large 33m x 18m Sports Hall. Outdoor shooting takes place on the large rugby pitch where we can easily shoot to 90m.
There is ample parking on site and all the facilities are in very good condition.
We shoot on a Sunday.
Indoor - mid-September to mid-April - 4pm-6pm.
Outdoor - mid-April to mid-September - 3pm-5pm.
As with most archery clubs, the main issues we had to overcome to set up the Club was to find somewhere where we could shoot and also store our range equipment, which is quite bulky.
We have received excellent support from the Lettings Manager at St Cyres, Laura Atkinson, right from our first meeting. She has made us very welcome, arranged storage for our equipment, and has been very co-operative and easy to deal with. The booking system for the school is very good.
We are now firmly established at the school and enjoying the excellent facilities we have.

The Club has recently been fortunate to secure a grant award, for the purchase of additional range equipment, from the Millennium Stadium Charitable Trust.
The Trust’s income comes from a levy on tickets purchased at the Stadium and distributes these funds in support of inspiring projects throughout Wales.

Again, Laura’s efforts to find us extra storage enabled us to take up this award. The extra equipment ensures the Club’s future range needs are met and helps significantly with the running of the Club.
